“Living in an Empire, Jesus Christ and his followers were busy deconstructing imperialism from the bottom up and constructing the Kingdom wherein all the markers of status, power, and superiority had no place.” – Dr. Vinod John

Dr. Vinod John and his wife Eveline were born in India where God had used them for ministry for over 20 years in various capacities. They moved to Canada in 2011 and after initial struggles, planted the South Asian Church with the help of some wonderful believers and friends in the Lord. By training, Dr. John is a missiologist with an earned PhD in Missiology from Asbury Theological Seminary, KY, USA. He brings to the church his rich and varied experience serving in the Kingdom as a church planter, teacher, pastor, and speaker. Along with his pastoral calling, he also currently serves as an adjunct faculty at the Taylor Seminary (Edmonton) and the Missional University (online global school). Pastor John loves reading, traveling, and of course, teaching and preaching. Eveline works in the healthcare services and loves caring for the mentally challenged and seniors. She devotes her time in the church with children’s Sunday School, women’s fellowship, praise and worship team. Along with interpreting for the pastor, Eveline also enjoys singing, quilting, diamond painting, and making new friends. Vinod and Eveline are blessed with two gifted children, and they both serve the church with their musical gifts and talents. To follow Vinod on social media, please click on any of the buttons below.
